Important tender dates in your personal calendar
The new feature “My important dates” lets you link your important tender dates to an external electronic calendar letting you check these important dates quickly in your calendar without having to log in to the tendering system each time.
The calendar functionality is part of the premium and enterprise license of our Supplier Premium Service. This means that it will be immediately available to existing premium and enterprise license subscribers.
To start using this calendar functionality click on the ‘My important dates’ option on your welcoming page or your user profile.
On the calendar setup page click on ‘Set up calendar’ to choose which type of tender dates you want to be sent to your calendar once you have added it to your calendar.
You can choose the ‘Tender deadline’ (submission deadline) and the ‘Deadline of clarification questions’ dates to be sent to your calendar.
After that click on ‘Subscribe calendar to’ and from the drop-down menu select the calendar that you are using.
For the Google calendar, the web Outlook calendar and for the full desktop calendars (Outlook and Mac OS X) there are dedicated links. Meaning when you select one of these 3 it will open up that specific calendar and give you the option to add your tender dates to your calendar.
To add the tender dates calendar to another commonly used electronic calendar choose the ‘Manual export calendar’ option and in the pop-up window click ‘Copy link to clipboard’, then open your calendar and add the new calendar link.
See the below example from the Google calendar.
This action of adding the calendar only has to be done once and after a few minutes of synchronization the dates for the tenders that you are working on will appear. Once you express interest in new tenders on the EU-Supply site the dates for those new tenders will be added to your calendar automatically.
Please note in regards to update frequency:
Depending on your electronic calendar, new tender dates may take up to a day to appear on your calendar.
Please note in regards to usage with smartphones:
Depending on your electronic calendar, the type of smartphone you are using and if you have allowed your smartphone to fully synchronize with your Google or Apple accounts you will even have your important tender dates at your “fingertips”.
The added calendar event itself will show you if it is a tender deadline event or a deadline to ask questions together with the time and the name of the tender.
The event details will contain the tender name, tender id, the contracting authority name and will once more show the exact date and time. This information is the same no matter which calendar you are using.
If you no longer want to receive tender dates to your calendar return to the calendar setup page and click on ‘Unlink calendar’.
