Explanation of Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)?

A Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is an electronic process for making common purchases of works, supplies or services.

What types of Dynamic purchasing systems are there

  • Temporary hiring of, for example, self-employed persons and/or consultancy firms.

  • Purchasing products, e.g. laptops or playground equipment.

  • Purchasing services, e.g. bus transport or mowing lawns.

A characteristic of a DPS is that it has categories. As a registrant you can select one or more categories.

In DPS for temporary hiring, these categories will often be the fields or departments in which you want to register.

After your submission has been approved in the DPS, you will be invited to future submissions 'Mini-Competitions', which are linked to the category(ies) in which you have registered. 'Mini-Competitions'are also often 'Further inquiries' named.

NB! If a 'Mini-competition' has started before you have been admitted to the DAS, you will not automatically find it in your tender overview. In such a case, the purchasing organization can manually invite you for this.
