WCAG

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are part of a series of web accessibility guidelines published by the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium, the main international standards organization for the Internet.

This page describes 1) the current situation for MSTC with respect to WCAG and 2) provides a proposed answer to clients and prospects asking for information if and how S2C supports WCAG.

Current situation WCAG

• WCAG guidelines have only been implemented for a limited number of pages of the S2C platform:

  • Public tender page: https://hub.negometrix.com/today

  • Public company profile page: https://hub.negometrix.com/buyer/2399/general

• The implementation of these pages is related to the need in the United States to comply with the ADA legislation.

• Based on the above we can not state that we comply with WCAG.

• Until now this has not been a big issue in most countries. Clients seem to understand (if we explain them) that to fully comply with WCAG will require a very big effort.

• However we do get questions from prospects (in tenders) on the subject also. What we usually answer is 1) that we partially comply with the WCAG guidelines and 2) that we are willing to discuss further enhancements based on concrete issues/situation at a customer/prospect organisation.

Proposed answer

Based on the current situation the proposed answer to clients and prospects if they ask about if and how S2C supports WCAG is the following:

S2C partially complies with WCAG. The guidelines have been implemented for a several pages within the platform. We are open to discuss a broader rollout of WCAG based on concrete cases/issues within your organization.
