Validity
A supplier's evidence that it meets the requirements for a specific area of interest is valid. Multiple versions of a declaration document can be added per declaration. Each declaration document has its own validity.
Types of statements
When it comes to determining the validity of suppliers' evidence, there are two types of documents:
The Start/end date statement
The Issue Date Statement
Start/end date statement
If the evidence provided for a particular area of interest is expected to contain a formal start and end date, a Start/End Date Statement is used. With this type of declaration, when adding a declaration document, the supplier has the option to enter a start and end date, which indicate how long the documents are valid. These dates must correspond with the start and end dates on the declaration document (for example the ISO9001 certificate).
Issue Date Statement
When it is expected that the evidence for a particular area of interest does not contain a formal end date, the Issue Date Statement type is used. For this type of declaration, the validity of the declaration is determined in SRM by adding a validity period determined by the purchasing organization to the date of issue of the declaration document.
